Sea-facing flat in Mumbai sold for Rs 43 cr

In Mumbai, a sea-facing duplex flat in upscale Worli area got sold under a price bracket of around 1.18 lakh per square feet at a to,e when the real estate market of Mumbai was going through a sluggish phase. A duplex flat in Samudra Mahal, a sea-facing 28-storey residential building in Worli has fetched whooping Rs 43 crore in today’s property market, making the second most expensive per square feet apartment deal in India.

Samudra Mahal is a premium high-rise residential building in Mumbai. A duplex flat on the ninth and tenth floors spans over 3,638 square feet of built-up area was sold for 1.18 lakh per square feet and purchased by a notable glassware manufacturer, Borosil. This four bedroom apartment was originally owned by Sonya Jethmal, an NRI settled in US. Apparently, Jethmal is related to the famous Mulchandani family, owner of the once-famous brand Bush.
