Sealing a Better Tomorrow
To promote the ideal use of construction chemicals, leading manufacturers formed CCMA (Construction Chemicals Manufacturers Association), spearheaded by Samir Surlekar, President.
Propelling growth
With over 35 members, CCMA strives to promote the ideal use of chemicals and contribute to the growth of the industry by raising awareness and maintaining quality standards. It also intends to educate its members on provisions of various central and state enactments and their amendments through seminars, meetings, exhibitions, etc.
Recent activity
CCMA conducted a seminar on Green Construction in February 2012 in Mumbai. This was attended by 350 delegates including 10 international speakers, who addressed the issue. The highlight of the seminar was the panel discussion and adoption of resolution. It was decided that a resolution incorporating the views of construction chemicals manufacturers and end users will be submitted to the Central and State Governments with the help of FICCI, CII, etc.
Future plans
CCMA plans to introduce training programmes that will contribute to the overall growth of the chemical industry. Moreover, the organisation plans to conduct seminars all over India.
