BMC to Sell 426 Flats for Low-Income Groups in Mumbai

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced the sale of 426 affordable flats under the Lower Income Group (LIG) category in Mumbai. The housing units, located in areas such as Goregaon, Mankhurd, and Kurla, will be sold through an online lottery system managed by the civic body.

According to officials, this initiative aims to provide affordable housing options for economically weaker sections and lower-income families within the city. The draw will be conducted transparently, with applications, payments, and document submissions handled digitally.

The project aligns with BMC’s broader effort to promote inclusive urban development and reduce the housing gap in Mumbai. Interested applicants can register on the civic body’s official portal, where details on eligibility, payment structure, and deadlines are available.
