Hyderabad tops the list of land deals in 2022

In the first nine months of 2022, India's top eight cities closed at least 68 land deals totalling 1,656 acre, up from 20 offers in the same period the previous year, as builders rushed to accumulate land in response to rising demand for housing.

The proposed developments include residential, retail, mixed-use, commercial, and warehousing space.

Almost 40 per cent of the total land offers in 2022 (January-September) have been proposed for residential growth, 147 per cent for industrial and logistic parks and warehouses, 119 per cent for information centres, 115 per cent for mixed-use growth, and 26 per cent for business growth, among other things.

Hyderabad topped the land deal share with 46 per cent, the NCR got here in a distant second with 14 per cent and Bengaluru was subsequent with a 13 per cent share. The MMR had the best variety of transactions, however for small land parcels.
