India Sotheby’s International Realty And Interiors With Art JV

India Sotheby’s International Realty (India SIR) has entered a joint venture with Interiors with Art Ltd (IWA) to raise the benchmark in ultra-luxury residential living in India. The partnership will offer bespoke end-to-end design and architecture consultancy for ultra high net worth and high net worth individuals across India’s expanding luxury housing market. IWA brings over 24 years of experience in the United Kingdom and a reputation for delivering world-class interiors for global billionaires.

Amit Goyal, managing director of India SIR, said the tie-up combines the firm’s leadership in Indian luxury real estate with IWA’s legacy to create a unique proposition. Shailja Vohora, director at IWA, explained that the studio seeks to blend world-class aesthetics with India’s heritage of craftsmanship to curate environments that resonate with lifestyles. Sanjay Sharma, managing director at IWA, noted that the firm’s discretion, craftsmanship and operational rigour will support delivery of private projects in India.

Sanjay Sharma leads the practice’s strategic and operational direction, bringing an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and prior experience with Fortune 500 companies in corporate America, which he leverages to drive disciplined execution and rigour. Creative head Shailja Vohora brings 35 years of design leadership, with training at the Inchbald School of Design and specialist studies at Sotheby’s and SOAS, combining fluency in arts and artisanal traditions to craft culturally layered residences. Representing the next generation, Shreya Vohora focuses on wellbeing-led and technology-driven design, integrating anthropology, longevity science and AI-enabled digital strategy to enhance residential wellbeing.

India SIR traces its heritage to Sotheby’s Auction House and operates within a global network present in 84 countries with 1,100 offices and 26,100 sales associates, which recorded a transaction volume of United States dollar (USD) 157 bn in 2024. The India team comprises private bankers and specialists from real estate, hospitality and luxury sectors and serves addresses across New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Goa, Gurugram and Pune.
