Telangana boosts development in state with upcoming industrial parks project

As reported, the IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao recently inaugurated the TIF-MSME Green Industrial Park which is located at Dandumalkapur in the state of Telangana. The first of its kind park has been built in a joint collaboration between the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) with the Telangana Industrialists Federation (TIF).

The minister laid emphasis on the State Government’s efforts to actively attract and pull in investments that will, in turn, create numerous employment opportunities for the people in the region.

Reportedly, the TIF-MSME is a pollution-free park that can accommodate more than 450 industrial units – spread over 482 acre, it will aid in providing jobs to a large number of people: 19,000 work opportunities through direct employment and 30,00 work opportunities through indirect employment.

As a push to the government’s goal, the park will also house a skill development centre that will be focused on providing vocational training to the youth. Additionally, a housing colony is also being set covering a distance of 192 acre in the park itself – benefiting the workers and trainees.
With the park reportedly attracting investments of around Rs 15.52 billion, the minister also stated that the park would further expand by 2,000 acre in the near future.

The inauguration of the park comes at a time when the Telangana Government has further planned out the establishment of 14 industrial parks across the expanse of 14 rural districts. Reportedly, the work for these will soon be underway at lands that have already been acquired by the officials. TSIIC has again been charged with their development along with the department of industry.

As reported, the parks are likely to be known as the Industrial Area Local Authority (IALA) as per the status given to them by the government. Allotment of land has ranged from 300 to 1,000 acre for the project and the employment of locals is the main objective.

Additionally, further proposals for the formation of Autonagar in about 10 districts of the state, is also underway. It will bring about growth in vehicle sales and repairs while giving jobs to people.
