Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the trust managing India's wealthiest temple, has outlined plans to build Tirupati temples in every state and union territory. As a recent development, a Tirupati Balaji temple was inaugurated in the outskirts of Jammu, allowing devotees to visit. The Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Jammu spans more than 62 acres of land within the lower Shivalik forests. Currently, the TTD board is working on an action plan to construct replicas of the Lord Venkateswara temple in Gujarat and Chhattisgarh. The objective of the TTD is to bring the presence of Lord Venkateswara to devotees' doorsteps by establishing temples in various states and union territories, according to YV Subba Reddy, Chairman of TTD. Reports indicate that discussions are underway with the government of Bihar to construct a Lord Balaji temple, and the Maharashtra government has allocated 10 acres of land in Navi Mumbai for a similar purpose.
