Eicher Launches AI-Powered Uptime NXT Fleet Services

Eicher Trucks & Buses, a business unit of VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), has launched Eicher Uptime NXT Services, supported by an AI-enabled Uptime Centre, to strengthen proactive vehicle support and improve fleet productivity.
The centre brings together customers, technicians, engineers and technical experts, combining connected vehicle data with service information to support faster, coordinated interventions. Services include fuel advisory, driver scorecards, vehicle-operation insights, vehicle immobiliser support and proactive interventions.
The launch builds on Eicher’s dedicated Uptime Centre, introduced in 2019. Its capabilities have expanded across vehicle health and diagnostics, service operations, network intelligence, parts availability and product performance. Vehicle data informs service delivery, while service feedback supports improvements in product quality.
B. Srinivas, MD & CEO, VE Commercial Vehicles, said: “For our customers, uptime directly impacts productivity, profitability and business continuity.”
The ecosystem also incorporates the My Eicher app, which combines live vehicle tracking, fuel and trip management, fleet performance, predictive uptime, driver safety and service support. According to the company, the platform supports more than 200,000 customers and connects over 460,000 vehicles.
S S Gill, Chief Commercial Officer, VE Commercial Vehicles, said the Uptime Control Tower improves visibility across vehicle and service operations, while a generative AI-powered platform provides actionable information to service teams and technicians.
The company aims to enable faster diagnosis, improve coordination and increase the proportion of repairs completed correctly the first time, helping fleet operators reduce disruptions and manage operating costs.

Cement Prices Likely to Rise Rs. 10-15 per Bag from Mid-October

Cement manufacturers in India are likely to raise prices by Rs. 10-15 per bag from mid-October, as they seek to offset persistent increases in power and fuel costs. Emkay Research said its channel checks indicated a high probability of an increase from October 12, supported by the start of the busy construction season and favourable demand-supply conditions.
