A two-day National Conference on the use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the power distribution sector under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) will take place at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on 6–7 December.

Organised by the Ministry of Power, the conference is themed “Harnessing AI/ML for Smart, Efficient and Sustainable Power Distribution”. It will showcase cutting-edge applications such as smart meter data analytics, integrated IT/OT systems and smart home automation, all aimed at driving innovation, improving operational efficiency and enhancing consumer satisfaction across the country’s Distribution Companies (DISCOMs).

The event will demonstrate AI/ML-enabled analytics and practical implementations using smart meter technology and integrated IT/OT systems. It will also encourage broader adoption of advanced technologies including Blockchain, the Internet of Things and smart home automation to strengthen distribution management and advance goals related to operational efficiency, grid reliability and sustainability.
