Rosmerta Digital Services (RDSL) and the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to simplify vehicle-related compliance for citizens and dealers across India. The agreement was formalised at FADA’s 8th Auto Retail Conclave in New Delhi.RDSL has launched Rosmart, a compliance services platform accessible through Rosmart.com. Users can log in to check pending traffic violations and access related services, addressing a frequent obstacle in vehicle sales and transfers where unresolved challans can delay transactions and create uncertainty for customers.The platform is also intended to reduce the risk of fraud linked to unauthorised websites and intermediaries that claim to help citizens clear traffic challans. Rosmart enables customers to verify challan details and take action through an official digital channel. Individual customers can use the website directly or scan a QR code at participating dealerships and other customer touchpoints.Dealers can upload cases in bulk or assist customers directly through the platform. The companies said this approach could help reduce delays in vehicle transactions, particularly in the pre-owned vehicle segment, where a vehicle may have challans originating from several cities or states. Rosmart currently offers compliance services for citizens and dealers, with additional citizen-focused services and service providers planned for onboarding over time.The partnership is expected to extend Rosmart’s reach across India’s automotive retail network. RDSL, part of the Rosmerta Group, develops technology-led solutions for the automotive and mobility sector. The group has supplied more than 170 mn high-security registration plates and issued over 150 mn driving licences and registration certificates across more than 10 states and union territories.FADA, founded in 1964, represents India’s automobile retail industry, including businesses dealing in two- and three-wheelers, passenger cars, utility vehicles, commercial vehicles, construction equipment and tractors. The association said the collaboration would provide dealers and customers with a more transparent channel for resolving compliance issues during vehicle exchanges, sales and transfers.
