BEL Awards Rs 176 Million Order For Defence Communication Systems

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a key Navratna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has awarded a significant purchase order for advanced communication systems valued at Rs 176 million. The contract has been secured by Avantel, underscoring BEL’s role in supporting and integrating Indian defence technology providers.

Under the agreement, Avantel will supply specialised communication systems that form critical components of BEL’s ongoing defence and technology projects. The collaboration reflects India’s broader push towards greater self-reliance, or Aatmanirbharta, in defence electronics and indigenous manufacturing.

The partnership is expected to strengthen domestic capabilities in secure communications and enhance the technological ecosystem supporting India’s defence modernisation goals.
