Bharat Forge, Agile Robots to Explore AI Robotics Partnership

Bharat Forge Limited and Germany-based Agile Robots S.E. have recently agreed to explore a strategic collaboration in the field of AI-driven robotics and intelligent industrial automation. The proposed partnership will focus on deploying advanced automation solutions for the automotive, healthcare and consumer electronics sectors, with an exclusive emphasis on civilian manufacturing.
As part of the collaboration, the two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding to co-develop and establish capabilities for bespoke automation solutions across manufacturing, industrial CPG and logistics segments. This will also include adapting and offering Agile Robots’ existing solutions for the India and Southeast Asia markets. In addition, the partnership aims to develop and deploy advanced vision- and AI-based robotic systems to enable fully autonomous or ‘dark’ factory environments.
Commenting on the development, Amit Kalyani, Vice Chairman and Joint Managing Director, Bharat Forge, said the collaboration reinforces the company’s ambition to deliver state-of-the-art intelligent robotic and automation solutions across industries, while supporting India’s rapidly growing manufacturing ecosystem through modular and bespoke technologies.
Rory Sexton, Executive Director, Agile Robots, said the partnership strengthens the company’s position in India’s expanding manufacturing sector, combining Agile Robots’ AI-driven automation expertise with Bharat Forge’s deep sectoral knowledge to enhance efficiency and precision across production systems.
