India Post Unveils Gen Z–Themed Post Office at IIT Delhi

India Post has recently inaugurated its first Gen Z–themed Post Office at the IIT Delhi campus, marking a major step in modernising postal spaces across educational institutions. Developed in collaboration with students, the redesigned facility features contemporary interiors, Wi-Fi zones, creative graffiti by the IIT Fine Arts Society and QR-enabled service points, along with student-friendly Speed Post discounts.

The initiative forms part of a nationwide plan to revamp 46 Post Offices within academic campuses by mid-December 2025. A strong focus on student participation underpins the programme, with learners engaged as brand ambassadors, co-designers and contributors to social media outreach. IIT Delhi has also introduced a student franchise model to offer hands-on experience in postal operations and encourage entrepreneurship.

The inauguration recognised the support of the IIT Delhi community, whose inputs shaped the new facility. India Post aims to continue creating modern, accessible and engaging postal environments across institutions nationwide.
