Italian Pavilion Opens at Cspi Expo 2025 in Tokyo

The Italian Pavilion at Cspi Expo 2025, Japan’s premier trade fair for construction machinery, attachments, and technologies, officially opened its doors this week at Makuhari Messe, Chiba. Organised by Unacea in collaboration with FEDERTEC, the pavilion will run until 21 June and is located in Hall 5, featuring prominent Italian companies aiming to strengthen their presence in the Japanese market.

Participating firms include Cattini e Figlio (Stand 15-68), Indeco (16-60), Mantovanibenne (16-66), Ognibene Power (16-67), OP (16-61), Outset (16-68), Simex (15-64), and Sir Meccanica (15-60). A dedicated institutional reception area is hosted at booth 16-65 to support networking and market engagement.

Michele Vitulano, President of Unacea, highlighted the event’s importance: “The Unacea Pavilion, now in its fourth edition at Cspi Expo, reaffirms the strategic value of this exhibition for Italian companies targeting Japan. As one of the global leaders in construction equipment, Japan is a highly competitive market—yet one where Made in Italy stands strong with its focus on innovation, quality, and product reliability.”

Marco Ferrara, Director of FEDERTEC, added, “Our continued collaboration with Unacea provides practical tools for companies entering new markets. The synergy between our associations enables Italian firms to approach international exhibitions like Cspi Expo with confidence and strategic support.”

Japan is currently the fourth-largest construction equipment market globally, with sales of around 80,000 units in 2023 and over 70,000 in 2024. Italian exports to Japan surpassed €12 million (approximately Rs 1.08 billion) in 2024, recording a 7 per cent growth over the previous year.

Now in its seventh edition, Cspi Expo continues to expand its global footprint. The 2024 edition hosted 455 exhibitors across a 47,000-sq m space and attracted 47,000 visitors, affirming its role as a vital platform for cross-border collaboration in construction technology.
