NBCC Floats Rs. 96.2 bn Tenders for 16 Stalled Supertech Projects

The National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC), a state-owned company, has floated 25 tenders valued at Rs. 96.2 bn to complete 16 stalled Supertech residential projects across four States. The tenders cover construction and related works for projects in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Karnataka.

The projects comprise nearly 50,000 housing units, according to a company statement. Thousands of homebuyers have been waiting for several years for the projects to be completed, with the delays causing financial pressure and uncertainty for customers.

NBCC said the tender process represented a major step towards reviving the stalled developments and completing the homes. The projects have been held up for an extended period, leaving affected buyers dependent on the implementation of a formal completion plan.

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) appointed NBCC as the Project Management Consultant (PMC) for completing the projects in December 2024. The appointment provided NBCC with responsibility for coordinating the construction and related works across the project portfolio.

The Supreme Court upheld NBCC’s mandate in February 2026, providing legal certainty for the implementation of the completion plan, the company said. The latest tenders are intended to enable work to proceed across the 16 projects and support the eventual delivery of the stalled housing units to homebuyers.
