NBCC Secures Rs 1.0885 Billion Orders in Odisha and Srinagar

State-run construction major NBCC (India) has been awarded two domestic work orders together valued at Rs 1.0885 billion (Rs 108.85 crore), the company disclosed in a regulatory filing to the National Stock Exchange and BSE. The disclosure noted that both contracts were secured on a project management consultancy basis and are classified as domestic orders. The filing did not specify execution timelines for either project.

The larger contract, valued at Rs 884.3 million (Rs 88.43 crore), was awarded by the Directorate of Technical Education and Training, Odisha, Cuttack for construction of boys and girls hostels at various locations in Odisha. The project scope covers hostel construction under government instruction and the price is exclusive of GST. NBCC indicated that the order falls within its routine business operations.

The second contract, worth Rs 204.2 million (Rs 20.42 crore), was awarded by the National Horticulture Board under the Clean Plant Programme for a Clean Plant Centre laboratory and office at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture in Srinagar. The work comprises construction and related site activities on a project management consultancy basis. The contract value is exclusive of GST and execution dates were not disclosed.

NBCC clarified in its filing that neither contract involves any interest from the company promoter or promoter group and that the transactions do not amount to related party dealings. The company characterised the awards as part of normal course activity for a central public sector enterprise with project management and execution capabilities. The disclosure was filed in line with listing obligations.

The company will proceed with mobilisation and planning as required under project management consultancy assignments.
