NBCC Secures Rs 5.0145 bn In School And Infrastructure Contracts

State-owned NBCC, which provides project management consultancy and real estate services, has secured four contracts valued at Rs 5.0145 billion (bn), company filings show. The work orders, received in the ordinary course of business, total Rs 5.0145 bn and were disclosed in a regulatory filing on Tuesday. The company said the awards form a significant package of institutional and infrastructure projects.

The largest contract, worth Rs 4.3069 bn, was awarded by the Rajasthan Council of School Education for the turnkey construction of 2,256 science laboratories covering physics, chemistry and biology across 922 government schools. The turnkey scope includes fit-out and equipment provision as specified in the contract terms. NBCC indicated the contract forms the bulk of the recent awards and aligns with its institutional construction portfolio.

NBCC also received an order of Rs 606.1 million (mn) from Bharat Electronics Ltd for an engineering, procurement and construction contract to create infrastructure facilities for NFTRs at BEL. Power Finance Corporation granted two contracts under its corporate social responsibility initiative totalling more than Rs 100 mn. The first of those awards, valued at Rs 53.8 mn, appoints NBCC as the project management agency for construction of a facilitation centre for tourists at Aizawl, Mizoram.

The company stated the work orders will be executed under existing operational frameworks and governance arrangements will remain unchanged. The contracts will contribute to NBCC's order book and ongoing execution pipeline while being managed through established processes. Management commentary in the regulatory filing emphasised delivery timelines and compliance with applicable standards. Taken together, the awards will strengthen NBCC's institutional project portfolio and execution visibility.
