PM Modi says Indian economy recovering at CII annual meet

Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) meet revealed that the economy of India is getting back at its pace once again, and there is a new confidence in made-in-India initiatives.

PM Modi said that earlier, everyone believed foreign products were better. People want products that are made in India. It is a big lead in their Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. He also talked about the performance of the country in the Olympics and boosting confidence.

Modi said that the new India is ready and prepared to grow with the new world. Before India was apprehensive regarding foreign investments, now it is embracing all kinds of investments. He said it is because the nation believes in the industry that now the ease of living and business is increasing. For instance, the reforms made in the Companies Act is an example of this.

The Prime Minister added that the country's youth is taking up challenges and risks without being afraid. They are engaging in hard work to get results. He said they are also observing a ‘Yes, we belong to this place’ attitude and self-confidence between the startups in the country.

From manufacturing masks and vaccination, industries of India have helped with everything throughout this pandemic, and it is a big part of the growth of the nation. He informed me that the IT sector is doing quite well.

The Prime Minister also said this occasion is exclusive as it arrives in the 75th year of the country’s independence. The government is with every citizen and would help with everything they require.

He said that the GST was not implemented in India earlier because the former government did not want to take a political risk. The PM said they applied GST and are witnessing a record GST collection now.
