PM Modi unveils Rs 850 billion projects in Gujarat and Rajasthan

On March 12, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a notable visit to Gujarat and Rajasthan. During his trip, he dedicated and laid the foundation stone for developmental projects totalling over Rs 850 billion in Ahmedabad.

The schedule for his visit included inaugurating the Kochrab Ashram and unveiling the Gandhi Ashram Memorial Master Plan. Additionally, he observed a defence exercise showcasing indigenous capabilities in Pokhran, Rajasthan.

In Ahmedabad, the Prime Minister's agenda featured laying the foundation stone and inaugurating numerous railway projects valued at over Rs 850 billion. This encompassed the launch of ten new Vande Bharat trains and the extension of four others. Additionally, he inaugurated 50 Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras at railway stations and 51 Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminals.

At Sabarmati Ashram, PM Modi inaugurated the redeveloped Kochrab Ashram and launched the Master Plan of the Gandhi Ashram Memorial to uphold and propagate Mahatma Gandhi's teachings for future generations.

During his visit to Pokhran, Rajasthan, the Prime Minister observed 'Bharat Shakti', a Tri-Services Live Fire and Maneuver Exercise that showcased India's defence self-reliance through indigenous weapon systems and platforms.
