Polycab India Launches New Solar Kits at REI Expo 2025

Polycab India, one of the country’s leading electrical and FMEG companies, has launched its new Polycab Solar Kits at the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo 2025 in Greater Noida. The initiative strengthens the company’s commitment to renewable energy while enhancing customer accessibility through integrated, ready-to-install solutions.

In recent years, Polycab has deepened its footprint in India’s solar and clean energy sector. In FY2024–25, the company built a combined renewable energy capacity of 32.755 MW across wind and solar assets. Around 17 per cent of its total electricity consumption now comes from renewable sources, helping avoid more than 31,000 tonnes of CO? emissions last year—reinforcing its alignment with India’s clean energy goals.

The new Polycab Solar Kits offer a one-stop solution for residential, commercial, and rural applications. Each kit includes high-efficiency grid-tie inverters, solar cables, AC/DC distribution boxes, and accessories such as earthing kits, connectors, and lugs. Designed for reliability and ease of installation, the kits support Polycab’s broader solar portfolio, which already includes string inverters and specialised solar components.

Mr Anurag Agarwal, CEO – Global Exports & New Businesses at Polycab India, said the launch marks a major milestone in the company’s renewable journey. He noted that the kits aim to make solar adoption easier for households, businesses, and communities, adding that Polycab intends to make solar a key growth engine backed by its manufacturing capabilities.

At the REI Expo, Polycab also introduced a Tree Plantation Zone in collaboration with the Grow-Trees Organisation under the “Trees for Villagers” initiative in Fatehabad, Haryana. Visitors can digitally plant a tree, receive an e-certificate, and track its growth. Polycab plants the tree on the visitor’s behalf, promoting environmental participation and awareness. A photo zone encourages visitors to share their contributions.

With the launch and its sustainability-led activities, Polycab continues to position itself as a responsible industry leader committed to innovation, environmental responsibility, and community engagement.
