Ramboll Partners with Tata Consultancy Services for IT improvement

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered into a seven-year contract with Ramboll, a Danish global architecture, engineering, and consultancy company, to overhaul its IT infrastructure with modernisation and cost reduction.

The agreement involves transforming Ramboll's IT operating model to enhance business growth and efficiency. As part of this partnership, TCS will absorb over 300 Ramboll IT employees across 12 countries.

Thomas Angelius, Ramboll's senior group director and chief information officer, emphasised "Our company has experienced remarkable growth, and we are determined to see this success forward. To continue our upward trajectory, we recognised the need for a trustworthy partner who can help us build a standardised, scalable IT platform that allows for innovation and is agile enough to foster creativity."

TCS will manage Ramboll's Cloud and data centres, application development, cybersecurity, and digital workplace services. This initiative aims to establish a digital foundation for Ramboll, enabling business expansion while reducing its environmental impact.

With operations spanning 35 countries and revenue exceeding DKK 17 billion, Ramboll's growth has led to a complex IT architecture. TCS plans to simplify and consolidate Ramboll's IT infrastructure, aiming to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

V Rajanna, president of technology, software, and services at TCS, highlighted the partnership's focus on leveraging data, cloud, and analytics to facilitate intelligent business transformation for Ramboll.

TCS, present in Denmark for more than 30 years, expressed pride in being chosen as Ramboll's first outsourcing partner for this global project. Vikram Sharma, TCS's country head in Denmark, affirmed the commitment to building a flexible, agile, and secure IT foundation to propel Ramboll's business forward.
