ACE, Sanghvi Movers Ink MOU to Boost India-Made Heavy Crane Adoption

Action Construction Equipment (ACE), the world’s largest pick-and-carry crane manufacturer and a leading Indian construction equipment maker, has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with Sanghvi Movers, Asia’s largest and the world’s fifth-largest crane rental company. The partnership aims to accelerate the deployment of indigenously manufactured heavy slew cranes, particularly truck cranes and crawler cranes, across large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects in India.

The alliance aligns strongly with the Government of India’s “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” and “Make in India” initiatives by promoting wider market adoption of domestically built heavy lifting equipment. Through the MOU, both companies intend to increase the use of Indian-made cranes, reduce reliance on imported units, and strengthen national capabilities in the high-capacity lifting segment.

As part of the agreement, Sanghvi Movers will gradually expand its crane fleet with ACE’s heavy slew cranes, enabling more efficient, cost-effective and timely project execution nationwide. ACE, in turn, will offer enhanced product support, customization options and technical solutions tailored to the needs of India’s fast-growing infrastructure sector.

The collaboration is expected to contribute to meaningful import substitution, boost local supply-chain development, and support employment generation and skill advancement. With infrastructure activity rising across segments such as renewable energy, logistics, industrial manufacturing and core civil works, the partnership positions both companies to cater to increasing demand for reliable, high-performance lifting solutions.

Commenting on the MOU, Sorab Agarwal, Executive Director, ACE, said the partnership reinforces the company’s commitment to strengthening India’s self-reliance by offering “world-class indigenous alternatives that deliver performance, safety, and lifecycle value.”

Rishi C. Sanghvi, Managing Director, Sanghvi Movers, said the collaboration would help the company expand its fleet with locally manufactured cranes, ensuring “superior serviceability, quicker turnaround time, and greater value creation within India’s economy.”
