Walplast Invests in Vura Bau Chemie to Expand Portfolio

Walplast Products Pvt. Ltd. has announced a strategic majority investment in Vura Bau Chemie LLP as part of its plans to strengthen and expand its building and construction materials portfolio.

Vura Bau Chemie offers a specialised range of tile adhesives, waterproofing solutions and stone-care products. The investment is aligned with Walplast’s long-term strategy to expand its presence across the building materials value chain and address evolving requirements in India’s construction industry.

The transaction will strengthen Walplast’s offerings in the tile adhesives and waterproofing segments while enabling its expansion into specialised stone-care solutions. It is also expected to support the company’s entry into new market segments and reinforce its presence in the high-performance building solutions category.

Kaushal Mehta, Managing Director, Walplast Products Pvt. Ltd., said Vura’s technical expertise, differentiated portfolio and entrepreneurial approach complement Walplast’s manufacturing capabilities, R&D strength, distribution network and international reach.

He added that continued investment in India’s housing and infrastructure sectors presents significant opportunities to scale the business and offer advanced building solutions to a wider customer base.

Walplast said the investment supports its ambition to develop a comprehensive construction solutions platform by adding specialised capabilities, expanding its product range and strengthening its competitive position.
