YEIDA Plans 10 Sectors, Fintech City, Global Hubs

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has launched a massive land acquisition initiative to support residential, industrial, and international development projects. The acquisition spans 10 new sectors in the Yamuna region and key areas in Aligarh, aiming to establish a fintech city, logistics park, and dedicated zones for Japanese and Korean cities.

YEIDA has proposed acquiring over 3,500 hectares in Gautam Buddha Nagar (GB Nagar) and 1,600 hectares in Aligarh. A social impact assessment (SIA) will be conducted for the Aligarh acquisition, with Gautam Buddha University leading the evaluation. The SIA will assess community effects, recommend mitigation strategies, and ensure fair compensation for farmers.

Key Developments in 10 Sectors: Sector 5: Residential plots across 382 hectares Sector 6: Industrial plots spanning 348 hectares Sectors 7 & 8: Mixed-use plots over 283 and 328 hectares Sector 9: Institutional and recreational space over 328 hectares Sector 10: Industrial park covering 312 hectares Sector 11: Fintech city across 315 hectares Sector 8D: Industrial plots over 383 hectares Sector 4A: Korean city on 365 hectares Sector 5A: Japanese city on 395 hectares

Additionally, YEIDA is acquiring 2,000 hectares in Aligarh for a logistics park and industrial projects. A portion of this, 736 hectares in Tappal, is already under assessment.

“These projects form a part of YEIDA’s master plan to spur residential and industrial development,” a YEIDA official stated. Surveys for the initiative will begin next week, promising transformative growth in the region.
