In 20 years, the Noida International Airport will have 70 million passenger terminals, 186 airport stands, a one million tonne cargo terminal, and excellent connectivity via an expressway, metro, and high-speed rail. When the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) plan comes to fruition, a 15-story multi-modal transportation building will be built on 40 acre on the Sinnar side of the Nashik Road railway station.
The multi-modal transportation project would function as a terminus for the Nashik Metro, the Nashik-Pune semi-high-speed rail line project, and as a depot for the city bus service provided by the Nashik Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (NMPML).
