Bengal Aerotropolis Projects (BAPL) has said that flight operations at the proposed Andal airport would begin on April 15, 2014. BAPL, a joint venture between Changi Airports International (26 per cent) and four Indian companies is the promoter of Bengal’s first private airport near the Durgapur-Asansol industrial area.
BAPL Director, Partha Ghosh said this at the inauguration of Biz Bridge, an engineering and manufacturing expo organised by CII in Kolkata recently. BAPL said that L&T has been appointed to shift the transmission line and work is on in full swing.
