GMR to expand Hyderabad airport passenger terminal

Keeping in view the uptick in passenger numbers, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) is planning to expand its passenger terminal by next year. The international airport had crossed the 10-mn passengers mark last year and is expecting to handle 12 mn passengers this year. The company is expecting to double the passenger numbers in the next five years, primarily triggered by business travel. The proposal for the expansion is currently in the design stage.
