The Centre has granted environment clearance for the Rs 1,378-crore greenfield international airport at Dholera in Ahmedabad. The airport will be developed in three phases. Spanning 3,525 acre, it will have two runways with a terminal building having a capacity for 1,200 domestic and international passengers.The proposed airport is initiated and promoted by the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board (GIDB) and will be developed by Dholera International Airport Company Ltd (DIACL) on PPP basis.
