Marg to develop Bijapur airport

Karnataka Government has signed an MoU with infrastructure development company, Marg, for developing a Greenfield airport at Bijapur worth Rs 200 crore in 24 months. Project will come up on 727 acre on a 90-year, build-operate-transfer (BOT) basis. The airside development will include a terminal building of 2,500 sq m, a 1,700 m long and a 30 m wide runway to support the ATR 72 range aircraft, aprons, taxiways, hangars, isolated parking bay, a 15 m air traffic control tower, ground support equipment, fuel form and fire station.
