Adani Group to acquire new space for Thiruvananthapuram airport

Adani Group had taken over the control to run the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport last year in October 2021, and now it has put a pedal to transform it into a world-class project. The newly proposed acquisition is of a state-of-the-art building which will be situated in near proximity of the airport.

Sources have suggested that the discussions for the same are now in the closing stages where the deal is all set to be officially on the paper for the building take over, which currently is a functional one.

The Adani Group is also engaged in the construction of the Vizhinjam Port, which is also in close proximity from the airport of around 15 km.

There is also another plan for the development of an existing water body passing close to the airport location. The plan is being developed with a vision for making sure that the airport can be accessed via the water too.

The Adani group had opened an all-new luxurious high-class lounge within the airport premises, which comprises live counters and a buffet for several cuisines including South Indian, North Indian, and continental cuisine.

Other than that, from the moment they have taken over the international airport they are in discussions with different international airlines. They will be commencing operations of a couple of airlines, which include one airline from Australia.
