FLY91 Begins Operations from Navi Mumbai Airport with Four Routes

Regional airline FLY91 began operations from Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) on Monday, launching direct flights to Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, Goa and Agatti. The airline’s first flight from Hyderabad received a water cannon salute at the airport, marking the start of its services from the new facility.

As part of its winter schedule, FLY91 plans to operate more than 350 weekly flights across 14 destinations. The schedule will run from October 25, 2026, to March 27, 2027, covering the main winter operating period.

NMIA is expanding multimodal transport services through buses, taxis, autorickshaws, car rentals and airport shuttles. The airport, operated by Adani Airport Holdings, is developing transport connections serving Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune and the wider Mumbai Metropolitan Region, with a focus on affordable travel options.

Services will include routes to Dadar via Sion and Atal Setu, and to Borivali through Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport Terminal 1, Bandra and Atal Setu. Two daily services will connect NMIA with Pune, while links to Thane and Nashik are scheduled by mid-November.

Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport will run routes A1 to A7 between Terminal 1 and Kharkopar, Targhar, Belapur, Nerul, Panvel, Khandeshwar and the Airport Project Office. Buses to Belapur and Nerul will operate every 15 to 20 minutes during peak periods.

The terminal is connected to Panvel, Targhar and Bamandongri railway stations, as well as Atal Setu, Sion-Panvel Highway, Palm Beach Road, Amra Marg and NH-548. Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 is operational, while Mumbai Metro Line 8 has been proposed to connect the two airports. Airport operators are also working with Adani TotalEnergies Gas to develop electric vehicle charging infrastructure on the premises.
