AAI sees the appointment of new chairman, NHAI to get new head

As reported, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) is set to welcome its new chairman – Senior IAS Officer Arvind Singh was recently appointed to the post. Additionally, another major reshuffle includes Sukhbir Singh Sandhu who has been selected to head the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).As per an order issued by the ministry, reportedly, Singh has been appointed as the chief of AAI in the rank and pay of additional secretary. He is currently working in Maharashtra which is his cadre state. The appointment of Sandhu to NHAI is seen in the backdrop of the previous chairman – NN Sinha's new positioning as the Secretary in the Department of Border Management. The former is, reportedly, is a 1988-batch IAS officer of Uttarakhand cadre. At present, he is serving as the Additional Secretary in the Department of Higher Education which is part of the Ministry of Human Resource Development.Image: For representational purpose
