The proposed widening of three bridges across Shahdara drain in Noida is likely to be delayed by nearly two years following the announcement of the Lok Sabha election dates. Estimated to cost about Rs 50 crore, the flanks of the bridges located near sectors 14A, 16A and Okhla barrage near sector 94, were to be widened to provide relief to scores of commuters shuttling between Delhi and Noida. Tenders were initiated for the three bridges last year by the Irrigation and Flood Control Department.
