CRF project implemented first time in Ladakh

The plaque for commencement of the work of improvement or upgradation of the road from Choglamsar to Spituk and Skalzangling to Agling under the Central Road Fund (CRF) was recently unveiled. Sanctioned under CRF, the total cost of the project is Rs 19.74 crore and the total length of the road is 11.87 km, which includes 7.57 km from Choglamsar to Spituk and 4.30 km from Skalzangling to Agling. The carriageway of the road is proposed 7.00 m, which is 3.50 m at present. The completion period of the project is three years.
