Centre sanctions Rs 364 cr for national highways in Orissa
The Central Government has sanctioned Rs 364.1 crore for upgradation of national highways in Orissa during the current fiscal. About Rs 10.3 crore will be spent on two-laning of the national highways in the state, while Rs 32.1 crore will be incurred to build bypasses at Deogarh, Borigumma, Jeypore and Koraput. Meanwhile, contracts have been awarded for 88 km Sambalpur-Lahurachati (NH-6) stretch, 130.05 km Talcher-Chandikhole (NH-200) stretch, 59 km Bhubaneswar-Puri (NH-203) stretch and the 269 km Panikoili-Rajamunda (NH-215) stretch.
