Delhi's flyover is ready to facilitate signal-free ride

Delhi's signal-free ride is ready for road users. The signal-free ride from Delhi Cantonment to Dwarka and west Delhi areas will be a reality in a couple of days as the South Delhi Municipal Corporation is all set to inaugurate the Pankha Road flyover shortly.

The Pankha Road flyover has been in the making for the past four years. The south corporation had last aimed for a Diwali inauguration but failed. According to standing committee chairman Rajesh Gehlot, BJP leader Sushma Swaraj will inaugurate the flyover.

There were some delays in completion but now the work is complete. The flyover will ease a lot of traffic problems in the area, he said.

Last year, the corporation had inaugurated one side of the flyover that carries traffic from Delhi Cantonment towards Uttam Nagar. Now, the entire structure has been completed. Pankha Road is one of the important traffic arteries of west Delhi linking Najafgarh Road and Station Road to NH-8, Subhash Arya, leader of the House, said.
