PMGSY grants West Bengal 421 rural roads

The Union Rural Development Ministry has finalised funds for 421 rural roads covering 1,887 km in West Bengal. Earlier, the Chief Minister had written to the Prime Minister about norms being flouted by the Centre in allotment of funds to states. With this, road works in Bankura, Purulia and Pashchim Medinipur districts will be taken up by Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna and an agreement will be signed between the PSUs undertaking the job, the centre and the state government within the next 30 days.
