TMT Rebar Report to be launched on 10th February 2023 in Delhi

The Ministry of Steel vide a notification dated May 12, 2016, has stated that no steel producer would be classified as an integrated, primary or secondary producer. According to the notification, the process route adopted for ironmaking and steelmaking with or without rolling/finishing operations as /finishing operations as they may be and product mix would be listed with Joint Plant Committee (JPC), Kolkata. However, the listing would be purely for statistical purposes and would have no bearing on the quality of steel produced. The onus is thus on users to ascertain the quality of the steel products to be procured, as per relevant standards. Here is where FIRST Construction Council (FCC) is playing an important role by ascertaining quality based on the standards set by Bureau of India Standards.

FIRST Construction Council has been organising the ''MAKE IN STEEL Conference & Awards'' for last five years along with the Conference and Expo in association with CONSTRUCTION WORLD magazine. The 6th MAKE IN STEEL 2023 is scheduled on 10th February 2023.

FIRST Construction Council (FCC) is in the process of creating a steel report to present demand, supply, quality, technology and trends in TMT steel bars. The report will be released at the MAKE IN STEEL conference will cover not just innovation within the processes but also the growth opportunities to expand soon. FCC is an infrastructure think-tank, focused on providing the latest updates on the construction industry in India, and dedicated to promoting its causes and needs. FCC provides a platform to promote the adoption of best practices and be the torchbearer for all policy initiatives that are needed to enhance the importance and welfare of the construction industry and be its unified voice.

The test results of the TMT rebars will be released in the form of a report at the 6th MAKE IN STEEL Conference and Awards on 10th February 2023 at Hotel Le Meridien in Delhi.
