Bridge & Roof Floats Rs 1 Billion Solar Tender In Gujarat

Bridge and Roof Co. (India) Limited (BANDR) has announced a major e-tender for a large-scale solar power project in Gujarat, marking another milestone in India’s renewable energy expansion. Issued on 13 October 2025, the tender seeks an associate for the Balance of System (BOS) package for a 600 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project, structured as two 300 MW blocks connected to the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) grid.

The solar project will be developed within the NTPC Renewable Energy Park in the South Block of the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. Execution will follow the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model, under which the selected contractor will handle the project’s design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning. In addition, the contract includes a three-year Operation and Maintenance (O&M) commitment to ensure smooth and efficient functioning post-commissioning.

Given its scale and importance, the tender is expected to attract significant interest from leading players in the renewable energy sector. Interested companies must submit their bids through the official e-procurement portal by 14 November 2025 (11:00 AM). Technical bids will be opened on 17 November 2025 (11:00 AM).

The project’s financial criteria reflect its large scale. Bidders are required to provide an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs 10 million, serving as bid security. The successful bidder will also be required to furnish a Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) equivalent to 3 per cent of the contract value, ensuring accountability and satisfactory project delivery.

This tender represents a key opportunity for contractors seeking to expand their footprint in India’s fast-growing solar market. It underscores Gujarat’s leadership in renewable energy development, particularly in large-scale solar projects within the Rann of Kutch.

By integrating a robust O&M component and clear financial safeguards, BANDR’s tender promotes operational reliability and long-term sustainability. The 600 MW solar PV project is expected to become a benchmark for execution excellence and contribute meaningfully to India’s renewable energy targets.
