For stalled construction of Ejipura flyover, BBMP publishes new tender

The flyover connecting Ejipura Main Road and Kendriya Sadan in Koramangala, Bengaluru, is now under construction. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has reissued a tender for it, worth INR 1.44 billion. The tender for the 2.5 kilometre flyover, which had been given to Simplex Infrastructure, had been annulled by the Karnataka government in March 2022 as a result of a high court order. After a thorough evaluation, a fresh tender has been released to hire a different company to finish the unfinished work. The construction of a flyover to reduce traffic in the Koramangala region was contracted for in 2017, however due to delays, only some of the work was completed. In 2022, the Urban Development Department ordered the BBMP to issue a new tender at a project cost of INR 2.04 billion in accordance with the requirements of the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurement Act. But for technical reasons, the contract was not granted.
