Key opportunities span Roads & Highways, Urban Infrastructure, Water Supply, Healthcare and Municipal Services. Maharashtra, Haryana, Assam, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh emerged as major activity centres, driven by highway, urban, sanitation and utility projects. Key developments included Toyota’s plant in Maharashtra, Foxconn’s electronics facility and Solex Energy’s solar cell and BESS project in Gujarat. Large transport initiatives, including the Hyderabad–Bengaluru High-Speed Rail Corridor and Pune–Nagpur Green Highway, highlighted rising infrastructure investment. Growing interest in data centres, defence manufacturing and luxury housing across key states reflected sustained investor confidence and strong growth momentum. Approved Projects by Central & State Governments Driving Future Tendering Pipeline Major infrastructure and development projects across transportation, railways, highways, metro rail, healthcare, ports, urban infrastructure, semiconductors, and industrial sectors have recently received approvals from various Central and State Government authorities. These projects are expected to enter tendering and pre-construction stages in the coming months, creating a strong future pipeline of opportunities for EPC contractors, consultants, equipment manufacturers, and construction material suppliers across India. The project includes road widening, construction of a major bridge over the Sina River, and development of a railway overbridge at Isarwadi junction. Architectural and structural design works for the nine elevated stations and associated viaducts are currently being outsourced while the Detailed Project Report awaits Central government clearance. This expansion aims to significantly enhance urban transit connectivity across the western periphery of the city. Construction works for the Balance of Plants components for the project are advancing steadily as technical evaluations for the consultancy services commence. Seven consultancy firms have submitted technical bids to the Maharashtra PWD for the preparation of a DPR and Pre-Feasibility Report for the Morwa Airport expansion in Chandrapur: This strategic aviation project focuses on the comprehensive development of a new terminal building and the extension of the existing runway to accommodate larger aircraft. The bidders, including Dorsh, Isan Corp, Misons, Nirmitee, Prism, Sthapati, and TPF, are competing to finalise the technical and financial framework for the facility’s upgrade. Construction works for the Balance of Plants (BoP) components for the project are advancing steadily through the planning phase as the state government prioritizes regional connectivity. Once the DPR is finalised, the project will move into the execution stage to support the growing industrial and commercial demands of the Chandrapur district. Taloja-Murbad growth hub corridor: The development of the Taloja-Murbad growth hub corridor in Navi Mumbai features 14 kilometers of critical connector roads and integrated utility infrastructure to support expanding industrial demands: Construction works for the essential infrastructure components and road networks for the project are advancing steadily to facilitate the integration of data centers and logistics parks. Strategically positioned along the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, the hub is designed to accommodate large-scale modern warehousing facilities while leveraging its proximity to upcoming airports and major rail networks. The master plan emphasises seamless connectivity and efficient goods movement, aiming to catalyze economic activity and create significant employment opportunities within the Maharashtra region. This integrated development represents a major strategic advancement in the state’s industrial capacity and logistics efficiency. Bengaluru Smart Infra has invited tenders for four major elevated road corridors totaling approximately 19 kilometers at an estimated cost of Rs 2,031 crore in Bengaluru: Construction works for these strategic infrastructure assets are being tendered under the EPC mode to enhance the urban mobility landscape of the city. The scope of work encompasses four distinct packages, including the 5.2 KM Old Madras Road to Electronic City stretch and the 7 KM Minerva Circle to Hudson Circle corridor. Other segments include the Sholay Circle to Hosur Road link and the Doddaballapura Road flyover, aimed at resolving long-standing traffic bottlenecks. This large-scale initiative reflects a significant push by the regional authorities to modernize the city’s transport network through high-capacity elevated thoroughfares, ensuring improved transit efficiency across key commercial zones. Madurai is witnessing a major hospitality boom with the development of five luxury hotels including the 315-room ITC Grand Pandiya and 150-room Holiday Inn: Construction works for these high-end hospitality projects are advancing steadily to accommodate the growing influx of business travelers and tourists in the temple city. The expansion includes a 120-room Hilton, a 110-room Hyatt, and a 98-room Radisson Blu Resort, significantly boosting the city’s star-category inventory. This surge in premium infrastructure reflects the increasing economic activity and cultural importance of the Madurai region. Once completed, these facilities will provide world-class amenities and enhance the overall urban landscape of Tamil Nadu’s southern hub. The Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority is set to acquire 8,349 acre in Jhansi for its Master Plan-2045 alongside the extension of the Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Expressway: This strategic expansion is currently moving through the land acquisition phase with a target completion date of March next year to facilitate massive industrial growth. Associated infrastructure works are also being fast-tracked, including the approval of a DPR for a 15 MW electricity supply and the ongoing development of an additional 40 MW capacity. HeidelbergCement India Cement blending and grinding unit, Madhya Pradesh: Heidelberg Cement India has received regulatory approval to establish a new cement blending and grinding unit in Madhya Pradesh. This project is designed to expand the company’s production capacity, strengthen its presence in central India, and enhance supply chain efficiency for regional markets. With the regulatory consent now in place, HeidelbergCement can proceed with construction planning, operational setup, and subsequent commissioning of the facility, marking a significant step in its growth strategy. Hospital project in Pune: Yerwada Properties has applied for Environmental Clearance for a new hospital project in Pune, located at S. No. 191A/2A/1/2, Plot C, C.T.S. No. 2175/3 (PT), Yerwada. The proposed development spans a total built-up area of 56,211 sq m with a planned 16 floors. The project aims to provide advanced healthcare infrastructure in the Yerwada area, and the EC application marks the first step toward construction approval, following which detailed design, construction planning, and regulatory compliance will proceed. Chennai suburban rail doubling project: Indian Railways has approved a Rs 993 crore project to double the tracks of the Chennai Suburban Railway network.
