The chief minister inaugurated the Moosarambagh to Amberpet bridge in Hyderabad, marking the opening of a 400-metre structure intended to improve local connectivity. The new span crosses the Musi river and is expected to provide a smoother route between Amberpet and Moosarambagh. City officials described the bridge as an important step towards reducing journey times for motorists and facilitating movement across the corridor. The project forms part of broader efforts to enhance urban transport links. Authorities said the bridge will contribute to better traffic flow in surrounding neighbourhoods by offering an alternative to existing routes and easing congestion at key junctions. Engineering teams completed the structural works prior to inauguration and carried out finishing works to integrate the approach roads. The scheme aims to shorten travel distances for public and private vehicles while supporting last mile connectivity for commercial activity. The bridge is designed to accommodate current traffic volumes and anticipated urban growth. Meanwhile, officials confirmed that the main structure of the Nalgonda flyover has been completed and that remaining works will prepare the route for public use. Once opened for traffic, the flyover is expected to bring relief to commuters and streamline movement across several localities. The flyover will serve Chanchalguda, Saidabad, Santosh Nagar, IS Sadan, Owaisi Hospital, Kanchan Bagh, Champapet and Sagar Road, linking them more directly to arterial roads. Local authorities noted that the two projects are coordinated to complement each other. The completion of the Moosarambagh bridge and the Nalgonda flyover is expected to support smoother traffic movement and improve connectivity across Hyderabad, particularly for commuters and freight operators. Municipal planners indicated that the combined interventions will redistribute vehicular flows and reduce pressure on inner ring roads. Road safety measures and signage will be installed before the routes are opened fully to ensure orderly traffic management. Authorities will announce the formal opening dates once final inspections are complete.
