Larsen and Toubro (L&T) Construction's Transportation Infrastructure business vertical has informed that they have secured a contract to build a bridge connecting Dahisar and Bhayander in Mumbai. The contract was awarded by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM). Furthermore, the project would also feature two large navigational spans along the creek. According to the L&T project classification index, the project had been categorised as "Large," placing the value of the construction between Rs 25 billion and Rs 50 billion. L&T stated that they were already working on two Mumbai Coastal Road projects for the MCGM. Additionally, the construction giant's civil infrastructure vertical had recently secured a "Mega" project from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). It was reported that this project involved designing and constructing an underground road tunnel and was worth Rs 70 billion.
