PM Modi inaugurated much awaited Dwarka expressway

Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Dwarka Expressway on March 11, marking a significant milestone in easing traffic congestion to Gurugram, the millennium city. The inauguration ceremony focused on unveiling the 19 km Haryana section of the expressway, a development eagerly anticipated by commuters and residents. The Haryana section of the 8-lane Dwarka Expressway, constructed at the cost of approximately Rs 41 billion, encompasses two vital segments: the 10.2-km Delhi-Haryana Border to Basai Rail-over-Bridge (ROB) and the 8.7-km Basai ROB to Kherki Daula stretch. This infrastructure marvel enhances connectivity within Haryana and establishes a direct link to the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi and the Gurugram Bypass, streamlining travel for thousands of commuters. In addition to inaugurating the Dwarka Expressway segment, Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone for 112 National Highway projects across India, with a collective investment of nearly Rs one trillion. Notable mentions include the 9.6-km-long six-lane Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II)?Package 3 in Delhi and the Lucknow Ring Road in Uttar Pradesh, comprising three packages with an investment of approximately Rs 46 billion. An official statement emphasised the transformative impact of these projects on India's infrastructure landscape, highlighting their role in bolstering regional connectivity and driving economic growth. Commenting on the significance of the Dwarka Expressway, real estate consulting agency CBRE South Asia Pvt. Ltd hailed its transformative potential within the Gurgaon Manesar Urban Complex. As an integral component of the Development Plan 2031, the expressway serves as a northern ring road and a crucial conduit addressing escalating traffic demands between Delhi and Gurugram, thereby enhancing overall urban connectivity and accessibility. The inauguration of the Dwarka Expressway and the initiation of key National Highway projects underscore the government's unwavering commitment to bolstering infrastructure development and fostering inclusive growth across India's diverse regions.
