RAHSTA Awards Open Nominations for Contractors

The awards will honour contractors and infrastructure companies delivering excellence in highway construction, safety, quality and project execution.

RAHSTA Awards 2026 has officially opened nominations for the Contractors category, recognising the companies driving India’s highway and infrastructure expansion through world-class project execution and construction excellence.

As India accelerates the development of expressways, tunnels, bridges and access-controlled corridors, contractors are playing a critical role in ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, safety compliance and sustainable construction practices.

The awards will be presented during RAHSTA 2026, to be held on July 8–9, 2026 at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai.

Organised by the FIRST Construction Council in association with ASAPP Info Global Group, the awards will recognise contractors and EPC companies delivering excellence across diverse and challenging infrastructure projects.

The Contractors category includes the following awards:
  • Road Construction Company of the Year
  • Excellence in Highway Construction (EPC/HAM/BOT)
  • Excellence in Project Execution (Timely Delivery)
  • Quality Excellence in Road Construction
  • Best Safety Practices in Road Projects
  • Best Use of Technology in Construction Execution
  • Excellence in Challenging Terrain Projects
  • Best Bridge/Tunnel Execution
  • Green Construction Excellence in Roads
  • Emerging Contractor of the Year

The awards aim to recognise organisations that are setting benchmarks in construction efficiency, innovation, sustainability and worker safety while delivering complex infrastructure projects across India.

The jury will evaluate nominations based on project scale, execution capability, engineering innovation, safety systems, sustainability initiatives, quality standards, digital adoption and on-time completion.

RAHSTA 2026 will also feature discussions and technology showcases focused on modern construction methodologies, digital project monitoring, bridge and tunnel engineering, sustainable road building and intelligent infrastructure management.

Contractors, EPC companies and infrastructure developers are encouraged to participate and gain recognition at one of the country’s most influential roads and highways industry platforms.

Railways To Operate Over 300 Special Trains For Rath Yatra

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that Indian Railways (IR) will operate more than 300 special trains for the annual Jagannath Rath Yatra in Odisha and over 100 special trains during the Onam festival in Keralam. MEMU Suspension Disrupts Commuters Between Vadodara And Dahod

The Vadodara–Dahod Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) service has been temporarily suspended for 26 days after its rake was diverted to Odisha to manage the surge in passenger traffic during the annual Rath Yatra in Puri.
