Mysore-Madikeri rail-line work to begin in six months

Work on the Mysore-Madikeri broad gauge railway line is expected to begin in the next six months. The proposed line will be taken up on 50:50 cost-sharing basis with the Karnataka Government. This will be at an estimated cost of Rs 700 crore. Furthermore, the 90 km Mysore-Kushalnagar stretch on this line is expected to be completed in the next five years.
