ECoR issues tender for Rayagada railway division office

East Coast Railway (ECoR) has issued a tender for the construction of the Rayagada railway division's office at Rayagada station. This development follows the Centre's allocation of Rs 700 million to establish the new division.

Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had announced on July 26 that the budgetary provision has been made and confirmed that the design phase is nearing completion. The project is set to start soon.

The tender, issued on Friday, includes the construction of the divisional railway manager's (DRM) office, staff quarters, and various supporting facilities. The new division will be located on nearly 125.78 acres of land across six strategic locations near Rayagada railway station along NH-326. The DRM office will cover 14.3 acres of land and feature amenities such as a walking track, a parking area and a driver's restroom.
