HCC Wins Rs 25.66 Bn Contracts for Patna Metro Project

Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has secured two contracts worth Rs 14.18 billion and Rs 11.47 billion from Patna Metro Rail Corporation (PMRCL) under Phase I of the Patna Metro Rail Project.

The contracts involve constructing 10.67 km of underground tunnels using Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM) and six metro stations.

Package PC-05 covers the design and construction of twin tunnels with a shield TBM, a cut-and-cover tunnel, an underground ramp at Mithapur, and three metro stations—Vikas Bhawan, Vidyut Bhawan, and Patna Station.

Package PC-06 includes an underground ramp at Rukanpura and three metro stations—Rukanpura, Raja Bazar, and Patna Zoo. Both packages also involve architectural finishing, water supply, sanitary, and drainage works for stations along the Danapur–Khemnichak Corridor.

HCC has been a key contributor to India’s metro rail expansion, with major projects delivered for Delhi Metro, Bengaluru Metro, Mumbai Metro Line I, and Kolkata Metro.
