Indian Railways Completes Over 1,900 km of Key Infrastructure

Indian Railways has completed over 1,900 km of key infrastructure projects aimed at strengthening connectivity across regions. The works comprise doubling of lines, gauge conversion, electrification and construction of new lines, bridges and modern signalling systems to enhance operational efficiency. The programme has sought to link remote areas with main corridors and to reduce bottlenecks on high density routes. Completion of these projects is expected to support more reliable passenger services and smoother freight movement.
