MIC Electronics completes Western Railway display project

MIC Electronics has received a completion certificate from the Rajkot Division of Western Railway for the successful execution of a Coach Indicator Board project, marking the completion of a passenger information system across four railway stations.

The completion certificate confirms that the project has been executed satisfactorily, all contractual obligations have been fulfilled, no dues remain pending against the contractor and the final bill has been settled.

The project involved the design, engineering, supply, testing, commissioning and integration of coach indicator boards across six platforms at Surendranagar, Bhavnagar Terminus, Hapa and Okha railway stations under the Rajkot Division of Western Railway.

Commenting on the development, Rakshit Mathur, Chief Executive Officer, MIC Electronics, said the completion certificate reflects the company's execution capabilities in delivering integrated passenger information systems. He added that the company remains focused on providing technology-driven solutions to support the modernisation of railway infrastructure and improve passenger experience.

The LED-based coach indicator boards provide real-time coach positioning and train information through centralised control systems. Designed for railway operating conditions, the systems are built to withstand vibration, dust, moisture and varying weather conditions while ensuring high visibility.

According to the company, the project is expected to improve passenger convenience by enabling commuters to identify coach positions before train arrival, reducing congestion on platforms and facilitating smoother boarding. The system also supports railway operations through centralised information management, enabling efficient handling of schedule changes, platform reallocations and service disruptions.
